The region around lake Fuschl is not situated in the middle of big skiing areas, but nevertheless you can find there some important ski-runs and slopes like Gaissau-Hintersee and the Postalm (at Postalm you will find many easy ski-runs for beginners). In the neighbouring villages various small ski-lifts, ideal for children to learn skiing, are at your disposal.

A special winter adventure ist the snow-tubbing at Faistenau (special sledge ride).
